Hello together, I printed the MyGamepad the following: • black matte PLA • 15% infil • 0.2mm layer-height • 0.4mm nozzle • ironing all top surfaces. Overall I'm happy with the result, but there are always options for improvements. So I start this thread to discuss about the best settings/materials for printing MyGamepad. I plan to reprint some parts to improve printing quality. Next steps: • Change layer-height to 0.12mm • Adjust placement of some part (finger/screen base with top-side up to get it ironed, screen front cover with outer side up for ironing, key shells with flat side up for ironing) • Try internal key parts with finger side up for ironing. This may be no good idea because of grip. • Use other colors for keys instead of all black. Things I think about: • Use 0.2mm nozzle to reduce layer size even further and get overall smoother surfaces. I have no experience with smaller nozzles. • Other materials instead of PLA? The bowden extruder or my Creality Ender 3 V2 Neo is limiting me here. • Sanding the parts after printing? Will give a really smooth surface, but will alter the color (the black is getting grey). What are your opinions and ideas?
